Stating the obvious.

Yesterday, C got home from work early - woo hoo! We took the opportunity to make a Babiesrus run since I've been huddling over my list recently and obsessing over the last remaining page. We didn't get everything - just the essentials like baby medicine, a pack of bottles, pacifiers.. My mom pointed out that when the baby gets here, some of my friends and family members are going to ask, "What do they need?" and if she has to say "Nothing" then it's a little redundant so we waited on the crib and bouncer. We also realized that with diapers if he's a big baby he's going to be out of size newborn in a week so we'll wait on that, too. The stores will be open after he arrives.

I read something in What To Expect When You're Expecting last night (first time I've read that book) that said you only have to worry about Group B Strep with a vaginal delivery so that's a huuuuuge weight off my mind. The last OB scared the crap out of me with that and it turned labor with G into such a fiasco, I'd love to leave it behind this time around.

Now, we just need to decide on the pediatrician, pick out the birth announcements, start putting things together and washing baby stuff. Oh! And pack a hospital bag! Better not forget that.
